You do not know how happy I am seeing your video. I have seen internet articles about your conversion and I am glad someone decided to do a RWD conversion on the celica. The celica does not have a lot of audience for modification, tuners, and an aftermarket so this video really gets me happy for the celica community. Thank you for explaining how you did this conversion so more people can think of trying this.

Something about this body style of Celica just looks perfect while drifting. It's unfortunate that it got turned into a FWD only model for the last generation. Still a good car though. In my opinion, you made the Celica perfect. Awesome work.
I own a Celica, and this is a dream above a dream to have. Love the Celica's so much. It handles so very well and it always feels like an adventure on the road. But I can barely drift with it because of the stock FWD.

Thank you. Mounts are made on the left and right of the bell housing part of the gearbox (the same position as normal) in addition to the front and back. Stabilizer is not attached to the front and back. That's fun!
It's so clean, it even has the ac. Most rwd conversions don't even have the interior. Didn't knew that the IS200 was sold in japan, i thought it was only sold as the Altezza.
Meanwhile it takes me 2 seconds to convert my celica in Forza to RWD. --Nah, but I love when people convert non-RWD cars to RWD. It's the best!!! Great job!

How the Celica wanted to be from the factory. Very nice. I have a plan for doing something similar except with a LS 5.3L, a tremic tkx, and 4 link 9in out back so, imagine this but with over twice the power and almost 3 times the torque. I'm looking more at a fast street car and occasionally drag racing. And maybe to troll the import guys a little.
Thats WILD man it so weird seeing the Celica drift but also badass! I own a 7th Gen and always wanted to see if someone could pull this off. Took about as much work as I imagined but what an accomplishment. And it still has working A/C and power steering?
Do you think the chassis is strong enough for grip driving? I've been thinking about doing this for ZZE131. Have you considered using F20C intake manifold? I plan to put 4A-GE 20v throttles on mine. I like the stock interior and air conditioning!

I love it! I've always loved the look of these Celicas and it's a shame there was no All-Trac AWD version. RWD is even better though!
I didn't have it, so I made it.
There is the celica gt-four, and that’s awd. But those are incredibly pricey nowadays.

車検を無視すればすごく簡単です。要所要所を抑えれば公認は可能ですね!
自分はこういったことができるような技術も知識もないですが、多くのFF改FRが見た目だけで中身がまんまシルビアやスープラになっている中で見た目とエンジンが合致しているのは個人的な理想像です!

Drifting is a bit quirky and requires some getting used to.

一つ気になったんですけど、ナックルって他車種流用+加工って公認取るのどうやったんですか?
穴あけで強度確実に落ちるので落とされると思うのですが…私も加工ナックルで公認通したいので強度計算とかややこしそうですね💦
既製品の加工ナックルとかって公認書類出さないところが殆どなので…(そもそもZZTセリカ用なんてありませんがww)
加工ナックルは各陸運支局で対応がまちまちらしいです。
ウチの辺だと加工してあってもパット見で折れそうとか危なそうって思われなければ大丈夫らしいです。
厳しいところだと加工してあったら問答無用でダメってこともあるみたいです。
新車86を114.3にして33Rホイール履かせてましたよね😂
サンダーお兄さんで観た時にプラグ交換はエンジン降ろすが滅茶苦茶ツボでしたw
手放したんですね…

There is no problem with drifting, so I think that grip is okay.
